Verification Policy
Applies to all services provided by Lux Telecom. If you have bought service from us, the version in force is the one published on the date of your order. Contact us with any question about this document.
Every counterparty is verified before they can trade. Numbering and voice termination are abused by fraudsters, and verification is the main control that keeps that abuse off the platform and off your traffic.
1. What we verify
- Legal entity name and registration in the country of incorporation.
- Registered address and principal place of business.
- Identity of directors and of any beneficial owner holding 25% or more.
- Authority of the person signing up to bind the entity.
- Ownership of the payment instrument or bank account used.
- Technical and abuse contact details, and the IP ranges or SIP hosts you will send traffic from.
2. When verification happens
Before the first number is provisioned and before any outbound termination is enabled. Browsing the marketplace and viewing prices require no verification; buying does.
3. Enhanced checks
We apply additional checks where the risk is higher, including requests for premium-rate or high-cost destination ranges, unusual traffic profiles in the first billing period, a counterparty in a jurisdiction subject to sanctions or heightened monitoring, or ownership structures that obscure the beneficial owner.
4. Re-verification
We re-verify when the information we hold changes materially — a change of control, of registered entity, of bank account, or of technical origination points — and periodically for active accounts. We may also re-verify after a fraud or abuse event on your traffic.
5. If verification fails
We may decline to open the account, decline specific ranges, cap spend or concurrency, or suspend service already provided. Where we are permitted to explain a decision we will; where a legal restriction prevents us from doing so, we will say that we cannot comment rather than give a misleading reason.
6. What we do with verification data
Verification records are held for the period required by anti-money-laundering and record-keeping obligations and are not used for marketing. See our privacy policy and AML & KYC pages.
