Safe Trading
Practical guidance for trading on this platform without getting burned. None of this replaces the terms of service; it is what experience suggests actually protects you.
Trade through the platform
Orders placed and paid through Lux Telecom are covered by our dispute process and our records. Side deals arranged off-platform are not, and we cannot adjudicate them.
Check verification status
Verified counterparties have been identity-checked against our verification policy. Treat an unverified counterparty as an unknown quantity regardless of how good the rate looks.
Test before you move volume
Send test traffic and confirm answer-seizure ratio, audio quality, post-dial delay and CLI delivery before switching a live route. A rate that looks better than the market usually is not.
Use a spend cap
A compromised PBX or SIP credential can generate thousands in traffic overnight, and that traffic is payable. A cap is the single most effective control you have. Set one, and set it lower than you think you need.
Protect your credentials
Use strong, unique SIP secrets, restrict registration to known IP ranges where you can, disable unused extensions, and never reuse a credential across customers. Tell us immediately if you suspect a compromise — early notice limits the damage and the bill.
Watch your own traffic
Review your CDRs. Unexpected calls to high-cost destinations, traffic outside business hours, or a spike in short-duration calls are the first signs of both fraud against you and abuse originating from you.
Report problems early
Contact us as soon as something looks wrong. Billing disputes have a 30-day window, and fraud is far cheaper to contain in the first hours than the first week.
